GHOSTS è un mediometraggio, considerato il video musicale più lungo della storia, con i suoi 38 minuti di durata. Filmato e proiettato nel 1996, uscì insieme alle stampe fotografiche del film Stephen King's THINNER. Un anno dopo fu rilasciato in VHS. Il film parla di un terrificante Maestro, dotato di poteri soprannaturali, che è stato relegato nel suo castello dal sindaco della città. Tutte le canzoni presenti sono tratte dagli album HIStory - Past, Present and Future, Book I e Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix.
Datato 1996/1997, Ghosts è ancora molto bello da vedere per gli effetti speciali terrificanti e spettacolari, per le coreografie che ricordano il lontano balletto di Thriller,ma soprattutto per il tono polemico nei confronti dei media sul presunto "disfacimento" della faccia di Michael a causa dei continui interventi chirurgici.
In Europa il cortometraggio viene proiettato al Festival di Cannes.

Si tratta di un cofanetto in tiratura limitata contenente 20 dei migliori singoli accompagnati dal relativo video di Michael Jackson. Ogni singolo è stato pubblicato quindi in versione DualDisc, per far si che oltre al singolo in versione audio si potesse affiancare il relativo video.
La prima versione in Europa è stata pubblicata il 20 febbraio 2006 con il singolo Thriller (contenuto già nel cofanetto) e Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough (considerato primo singolo uscito di questa raccolta), fino al 26 giugno 2006 con l'uscita di Blood on the Dance Floor (ultimo singolo uscito).
Il 14 novembre 2006 è uscito il cofanetto completo di tutti e 20 i singoli anche negli Stati Uniti. Nella sezione audio del DualDisc è presente oltre al singolo originale anche una versione remixata.
Curiosità: Se vi avvicinate all'immagine del cofanetto noterete che è composta da tantissimi fotogrammi tratti dai video del cofanetto che messi insieme formano il volto di Michael Jackson in una foto dell'epoca BAD. Estraendo i cartoncini che contengono i dualdisc a loro volta da un lato sono uguali a quelle dei singoli originari, dall'altro lato noterete tanti frammenti e immagini dei video... se mettete nell ordine di uscita queste copertine interne (disponetele 4 x 5) vedrete comparire la foto come quella del cofanetto.
